Mitsubishi Unveils 65″ Laser-Based HDTV

There is no dearth of electronic gadgets that cost so much, that you would rather be a hermit on top of the Caucasus Mountains. And now, here is a TV that may burn a hole in your pocket, which is big enough to squeeze a 65″ laser-based HDTV. The Mitsubishi LaserVue uses red, green and blue lasers to project its images on the screen. With a colour gamut of 200% NTSC standard, and consuming less than 200 watts, the TV can run indefinitely without fading or ‘burning out’ like other LCD and plasma screen projectors.

However, the cost is so high that you may cringe before buying this awesome beauty. At $7,000, it is one of the most expensive TV to be ever launched by Mitsubishi. The 65″ Mitsubishi LaserVue will however be rivaled by $10,000 65″ Pioneer Kuro and others. If you are willing to shell out that kind of money, you probably must buy the 65″ Mitsubishi LaserVue.
