Sony announced the availability of its new series of ultra small form factor high resolution camera module targeted for mobile market. The module, named as IMX060PQ is featured 1/2.5 CMOS sensor with 12.25 effective megapixel and currently the world’s highest resolution CMOS image sensor in this industry.

Acer 10-inch Aspire One netbooks might be hitting stores as early as February or March next year. Though I agree with our Twitter friend that the whole Vista Sux thing has been overrated and is more of a perception. But its certain that consumers are sticking to XP and waiting for something better! Most notebook buyers @ SAPLdemand a XP installation instead of Vista that comes bundled. So is MS looking to revive Vista or move one?
The enterprise adoption of Vista is as low as 10%, and we sure know that XP did beat Vista for the Olympics games at least. And since almost a year now we are hearing about Windows 7. Touch functionality and faster / more responsive OS is what Microsoft is targeting with Windows 7. Microsoft employees working in Bangalore have had the opportunity to view Win7 pretty closely since a long time and their initial reviews are “WoW”.
On the other hand Microsoft is also keeping the market buzz pretty live, with Windows7 demos to word to device makers to get Win7 certification on time they are certainly working overtime on it! Rumors are that Windows 7 might hit the markets as soon as 2009, but a more realistic and accepted date is sometime in 2010.
With the growing competition from Open source OS’s and Mac, Windows certainly will start to feel the heat if Windows 7 doesn’t click as expected.

Asus has just hit a sixer with this amazing 800Mhz Windows Mobile; which makes it the fastest smartphone in the world (well at least technically). With the new glide and a sleek look P565 might well be the big hit that Asus is looking for. The only request; Keep the pricing reasonable!
No its not yet launched, but the company promoting this concept (The Medical Phone, UK) claims to have this in production and plans to release it some time in March 2009.
This is what I call practical thinking! This Door mat alarm clock will make sure that you get up on time. Apparently you need to step on the mat with both legs to shut down the annoying alarm. So this ensures that you will atleast get out of the bed for once. A much needed gadget for me atleast. Hope it sees the material world soon

The pricing is what excited us the most; Rs 21839 only! While the iPhone is backed by the popular iTunes and the Appstore; Nokia still banks majorly on the Symbian OS and mass market approach.
Kingston has released a 64GB and 32GB Data Traveler (DT150). Being one of the latest and largest flash drives around, the DT150 likely uses MLC to lower the cost, but tries to compensate for the inherently slower NAND chip with with an advanced dual-channel controller. The 2342BWX is expected to cost ?399,000 in South Korea thats approx $315 (230 Euros).
